-- Telguard Cellular Alarm Communicators Make the Transition to Digital Seamless
CHICAGO, IL USA—Telular Corporation (Nasdaq: WRLS)
Telular today reiterated that it is ready with its market-leading portfolio of digital solutions to support the seamless transition of wireless alarms from analog to digital. Telular anticipates the conversion to be fueled by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)’s recent ruling that denied the alarm industry’s extension petition and maintained the Sunset Clause date. On February 18, 2008, wireless carriers will no longer be required to support the analog network (AMPS).
Telular has been prepared for this event and is intensifying its customer programs and support to provide an easy transition to UL listed Telguard Digital cellular alarm communicators. Using Telular’s patented technology, Telguard Digital provides primary and backup alarm communication solutions for residential-VoIP, small business, financial, commercial and fire system markets over the nationwide GSM digital cellular network.
“Telular’s proven digital patented technology and extensive application portfolio provides security dealers with the solutions and support to make an economical and seamless transition to digital,” said Mike Boyle, president and chief executive officer of Telular Corporation. “We feel confident in our leading portfolio of products that are capable of handling multiple alarm formats, providing full data reporting with quick installation and self activation,” added Boyle.
All of the Telguard Digital solutions are UL Listed and transmit full data from virtually all security and fire systems to central stations using the cellular GSM network. Telguard systems transmit alarm signals over the cellular network when the telephone line has been disrupted, compromised, or if no wireline phone service is used. Telular provides economical and seamless connectivity between the GSM digital cellular network and the central station.
Telguard Digital UL Listed model TG-1 is ideal for VoIP, cell-only or no phone line households.
Model TG-4 is UL Listed for residential and small business applications as a back-up or primary alarm communication solution. Telguard Digital TG-7 and TG-8 series include locking metal enclosures and have full UL Commercial Listings for Burglary and Fire systems.
The Telular TG-KIT is designed to convert analog Telguard DataBurst products to Digital without replacing the installed metal locking enclosure. The TG-KIT includes the digital circuit board, antennae and plug-in transformer.
Telguard Digital model TG-9 is a versatile, economical product that features both cellular alarm communication and event monitoring in one convenient, easy-to- use device. The plug and play installation and flexible configuration parameters make it ideal for both security and machine- to- machine (M2M) applications.
Telular's Telguard Online is a secure Internet portal that allows security dealers and central stations to quickly and efficiently manage Telguard-based cellular services, 24/7. With multi-level user authorization, security dealers can register, configure, activated, view subscriber activity, access unit status, test, view history data and reports for comprehensive account management.
